FAQS
Unfortunately, we cannot arrange a make-up session if you miss one session, as the training has been customised to suit the needs of the cohort you train with over the four sessions. Talk to your friendly trainer at the time if a personal emergency arises.
To help reach the communities that need it most (such as being at high risk of disaster, or have low social-economic opportunities) the training is sponsored by the Minderoo Foundation and other partners. Pay to participate options are available for other interested communities that might not meet the conditions of being ‘at risk’. There may be options to seek partners and sponsors for community members to undertake training. Get in touch to see how we might help.
Yes! Submit an expression of interest with your preferred months and options for location and the Canopy Team will schedule future training locations based on those preferences. If you have a group of 12 or more, get in touch with us and we can arrange a date and place directly. Email training@resiliencecanopy.com.au
We welcome interest from larger groups or specialised sessions for communities, groups or organisations of 12 or more. Get in touch so we can explore options.
Applying for a sponsored place does not guarantee eligibility to receive this offer. Eligibility is confirmed only when a booking offer is made by us and accepted by the applicant. Successful applicants may be required to sign a short agreement that demonstrates their commitment to the program.
All Registrations and EOIs are obligation free until a booking offer is accepted by both parties. This second step will include a request for any additional information, acceptance of terms and conditions and payment if applicable.
Multiple registrations (ie, 2 –3 people) from a single community or group are welcome – having a 'buddy' to support you on the journey can help with your success.
Courses require a minimum of 20 participants to be conducted.
Participants must attend all four (4) sessions to complete the training.
You don't need to live, or have a chosen community in the area for which the course you want to attend is being held. All are welcome from any where to any course.
For bulk registrations (more than 12 people) please feel free to contact us via email.
By submitting a Registration / EOI you agree to receive updates about The Resilience Canopy Program via email (unsubscribe at any time) and acknowledge that personal data collected through this process by ResilientCo is for the purposes of administration only.

Expert knowledge, useful resources
You will receive training from highly experienced community resilience and disaster recovery specialists, as well as access to a toolkit containing all the tips and tools you need for success.
Are you eligible for a sponsored (free) position?
Through the generous support of Resilience Canopy Partners, we offer sponsored training placements to people committed to applying the training with a community within sponsored Local Government Areas (LGA). That means the training and access to the subsequent 24 months of mentoring and coaching through the Canopy Collective is free!
If your community is in one of these identified areas, and you are committed to using the six-step model to walk alongside your community on their resilience building journey – then this sponsorship opportunity is for you!
You can apply for a sponsored place during the first step registration process, and we will be in touch to confirm your eligibility. Spaces are limited for each LGA so be quick to apply.
We may also be able to assist in finding a partner to support your training costs, even if your community is not within an existing sponsored LGA.
